Oh What A Night!

Many new faces showed up for dinner on September 20, 2011.  It was a night of entertainment and gratitude for the women of Stephenville, TX.  There were scholarships handed out along with an exquisite dinner headed by Chef Damon McAfee.  Included in his dinner was Chocolate Heaven and yes indeed it was!
Networking was only one of the highlights at this dinner as Sherri Knight gave us all some very interesting insight of our beloved Texas.  To see this lady sitting silently at her table, there was no thought of her raising the roof with her performance until she spoke.  Sheri will be heard and you will leave wanting more of her stories.  Luckily Sherri writes books.  Her books are to be read for sure as she had a drove of women lined up with money in hand.
As promised there were some excellent door prizes.  Cats box seats, Uncommon Scents and fudge walked away with their happy new owners.
On behalf of the CTBPW I would like to thank those who joined us for our event and for all those who participated in the many fundraiser to fund these scholarships.  Looking forward to a GREAT year!

Town and Country Bank host Women’s Networking Meet and Greet

A good turnout was an understatement for the packed Town and Country Bank’s lobby.  Women from all businesses were arriving promptly at 6:00pm.  For those who preferred to be fashionably late, they found themselves parking in the back forty.

Greetings at the door, name tags and filling out raffle tickets were on the first part of the evenings agenda.  A beautiful display of hors d’oeuvre’s were prepared for the guests.  Not to mention the delicious desserts that flew out the door in doggy bags.

With the droves of women that happened upon this small town bank, there were plenty of professions to choose from.  Real estate agents, yellow page ads, Arbonne representatives, truck sales, online marketing, Tarleton administration, hair stylists, you name it, they were there.  And… believe it or not, I think there might have been a banking associate in there somewhere.

The raffle drawings were very much a highlight of the evening.  Several books and pretty lunch bags were dispersed to the lucky ticket holders.

Cross Timbers Business and Professional Women graced the gala with their presence as they sought out their future members.

Thank you Town and Country Bank for setting up this gathering and we hope to get our next evite in our inbox very soon.

And the winner is....Sandra Burns

Richard Webb Benefit

A great group of family members and friends provided a wonderful BBQ and fundraiser for Mr. Richard Webb.  On July 11, 2011, Richard was involved in an accident.  While stopped on US Hwy 281 preparing to pull into his driveway on his motorcycle, a pickup truck pulling a cattle trailer passed him on the right side and clipped his leg with the back of the trailer.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Richard’s right leg had to be amputated.  Richard is currently hospitalized but was given a short release to make an appearance at his benefit.  A warm welcome was given to Richard as he was transported out of the SUV.  You could feel the love and compassion under the Stephenville Park Pavillion.  With the amputation of his leg came many other health issues including a heart attack.  By watching this man with his warm smile, rolling in his new wheels, you would not have known the trauma that he has recently endured.

A donation fund has also been set up at Town & Country Bank for anyone wishing to make donations.  For questions please contact Mike Cason at 254-965-4556 or Kathi Bullard at 254-445-4544.

Richard, as I looked around at all of the people, I see you are somebody special.  I wish you a quick recovery. -Tandi Rider
